One: ...participates in both need and reward.

• Help for the receiver's need
• Gain to the giver's account

Two: ...is directed to both others and God.

• v.16 - you sent me help
• v.18 - the gifts you sent...an offering to God.

Three: ...includes both sacrifice and security.

• v.18 - full payment and sacrifice
• v.19 - giving, but gaining
