One: We worship because God is Faithful

Two: We fellowship because we are God's family.

Three: We hope because God's kingdom is advancing.

Four: We endure because Christ is sufficient.

Five: We rejoice because our faith is anchored in all of the above.

  • Gain to the giver's account

Two: ...is directed to both others and God.

  • v.16 - you sent me help
  • v.18 - the gifts you sent...an offering to God.

Three: ...includes both sacrifice and security.

  • v.18 - full payment and sacrifice
  • v.19 - giving, but gaining

Two: Contentment is aided by others who care.

Three: Contentment is applied to poverty and prosperity.

Four: Contentment is a mark of spiritual maturity.

Five: Contentment is fuled by the sufficiency of Christ.

Conclusion: Contentment is faith in the goodness of God to provide all you need to do the will of God, regardless of prosperity or ease.
