  • Read Matthew 20:17-28 and remember the context of v.17-19, since it helps paint the selfishness of the ensuing bickering. Do you ever lose sight of God's agenda in pursuit of your own?
  • Philippians 2:3 addresses our motives. What does humility enable us to do in this verse?
  • Who do you have a hard time serving? Why so?
  • Look ahead to our next study in 1 Corinthians 1:18-31.

  • Read 1 Corinthians 1:10 regarding ‘divisions’. You see the same word in Matthew 9:16, John 7:43, and John 9:16.
  • What ‘divisions/conflicts’ have you witnessed in the local church?
  • Also in v.10 we see the idea of being ‘united’. Find this same word in both Matthew 4:21 and 1 Thessalonians 3:10
  • Look ahead to our next study in 1 Corinthians 1:18-31.
